But really, I still have some beef with the way he ruined the whole damn track, namely:

He could have just rebuilt the older hairpin to ruin the Eau Rouge complex instead of straightening it out—what he did was make the whole place easier to negotiate. What he did was make a jump.

I do kind of approve him tightening Les Combes, but I wish he’d just made a perfect 90-degree L-R set.

Otherwise, he did a fucking decent job at butchering 7,004 meters of fine Belgian racing circuit.
